Job summary

TOSHIBA TEC SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Procurement / Sourcing Assistant in Singapore to support supplier selection and cost analysis.

The role involves sourcing and evaluating new suppliers, coordinating with Quality for qualification, handling RFQs, and maintaining accurate ERP/MRP records. Fresh graduates are welcome, with training provided for ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Request and evaluate supplier quotations (RFQs) based on BOM.
• Assist in cost analysis and price comparisons for cost-saving initiatives.
• Support price negotiations and supplier communications under guidance.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Assist in vendor qualification and work closely with the Quality team to select suitable suppliers.
• Confirm parts specifications during sourcing and new product introduction.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations (RFQs) based on the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Assist in cost analysis and price comparisons to support cost-saving initiatives.
• Support price negotiations and supplier communications under the guidance of senior team members.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure data accuracy in the ERP/MRP system.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical), or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant working experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Oracle) is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided.
• Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Eager to learn, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
