Job summary

Denka Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a production operator to support shift schedules and oversee daily operations on both DCS and field systems.

The role involves routine sampling, inspections, data logging, and participation in CERT activities after training. Rotating 12‑hour shifts and overtime may be required, with initial training during standard hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or related discipline.
• Medically fit for plant operations and shift work.
• Willing to be trained for CERT fire fighting and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shift Supervisor to meet production schedules.
• Carry out ongoing production operations (DCS and field).
• Perform routine sampling, site inspections, and data logging.
• Assist in emergency response as part of CERT when trained.
• Accept overtime as required for operations.

Job Description:

• · Support the Shift Supervisor to ensure production schedules are met.
• · Carry out ongoing production operations (both DCS and field operations).
• · Perform routine sampling, site inspections, and data logging.
• · Support plant operations during emergency situations as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT), including fire‑fighting and first aid, after required training and certification.
• · Perform overtime work when operationally required, in accordance with company policy and the Employment Act.

Training & Work Arrangement:

• · Initial training period of approximately 3 months under company standard non‑shift working hours.
• · Upon completion of training, role requires rotating 12‑hour shift work (day and night shifts).

Job Requirements:

• · Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or related discipline.
• · Working experience in a petrochemical or chemical plant is an added advantage.
• · Able to work rotating day and night shifts.
• · Medically fit to perform operational duties in a plant environment, including shift work and emergency response activities.
• · Willing to be trained and serve as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (Fire Fighting and First Aider).
• · Willing to perform overtime work when required for operational needs.
