Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Shift Technician for 12-hour rotating shifts at our Penjuru site. The role involves supporting production, handling materials, and batch processing in a partly manual environment, with safety and emergency response as key priorities.

You should have a NITEC/ Higher NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or related field, plus experience in manufacturing or plant settings and knowledge of DCS/PLC.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing, process, or plant environment.
• Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Forklift operating experience or certification.
• Candidates without prior experience, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support various stages of manufacturing and production activities in accordance with established work procedures and safety requirements.
• Conduct material handling activities using industrial equipment where applicable.
• Support supervisors in identifying and resolving production, process, and quality-related issues.
• Perform batch processing activities in a partially manual work environment.
• Handle and move materials weighing up to approximately 20kg.
• Participate in workplace safety and emergency preparedness programmes and take appropriate action during emergency situations.
