Job summary

NORSTAR SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. Singapore invites applications for a Graduate Trainee Operations Executive to gain hands-on experience in tanker operations, voyage administration, chartering support and commercial shipping activities.

You will work with seasoned professionals, learn vessel operations, freight markets and port procedures, with opportunities on special projects; graduates from local universities are encouraged to apply and a long-term career in maritime is supported.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operational matters relating to tanker vessel voyages.
• Monitor vessel movements, voyage progress, port calls, ETA/ETD and operational status.
• Maintain voyage schedules, vessel trackers and operational databases.
• Follow up with Masters, vessel operators, agents, terminals and counterparties on operational matters.
• Monitor loading, discharging, shifting, waiting time and other port activities.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of voyage files and operational records.
• Support compliance with company operational procedures and reporting requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies
