Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior Production Support Engineer to provide Level 2 production support for business applications and batch jobs. The role requires monitoring, incident troubleshooting, and support of Java/J2EE applications in Linux/Unix environments.

You'll develop Python and Shell scripts for automation, execute SQL queries, and assist with deployments and job scheduling. Relates with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues; shift work is involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application production support.
• Hands-on experience in Python, Shell scripting, SQL, and Linux/Unix.
• Knowledge of Java/J2EE applications and batch processing.
• Experience with JBOSS, MariaDB, and MQ is a plus.
• Banking industry exposure is a plus.

Job Type

One-year Renewable Contract

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 production support for business applications and batch jobs
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure SLA compliance

Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

• Basic knowledge of Java/J2EE applications
• Knowledge of web applications, batch jobs, JBOSS, MariaDB, SQL,
• Knowledge of Job scheduling, MQ setup , C:D setup experience is a plus
• Banking industry exposure is a plus
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset, and good team

Kindly take note of the following details for shift work

Shift Timing

• Morning shift 6am to 3pm
• General shift 9am to 6pm.
• Afternoon shift 2pm to 11pm
• Night shift 10pm to 7am.

Need to support including night shift, weekends and public holidays
