Job summary

BearyFun Gym in Singapore is looking for a Junior Gym Coach to join our growing team. You will lead fun, structured gymnastics classes for children from 18 months to 12 years, adapting our progressive curriculum to each child’s age and pace.

You’ll help keep classes safe and engaging, support parents with progress updates, travel between our gym and school locations, and work with senior coaches and the Centre Manager. Ongoing training and pathway toward coaching certification are provided.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with children and gymnastics or movement.
• Experience coaching or working with young children is an advantage.
• Clear communicator with both children and parents.
• Willing to travel between gym and school locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fun, structured gymnastics classes for children aged 18 months to 12 years.

Since 2003, BearyFun Gym has helped over 25,000 children discover the joy of movement. We run a fun, inclusive, non-competitive gymnastics programme that builds confidence, character and healthy habits, with 7 gyms across Singapore and partnerships with 70+ kindergartens and childcare centres.

We're growing our team of 30+ qualified coaches and are looking for an energetic, caring Junior Gym Coach to join us. No two classes are the same, and you'll see children's confidence grow every week.

What you'll do

Coach and inspire

• Conduct fun, structured gymnastics classes for children aged 18 months to 12 years
• Follow and adapt our progressive curriculum to each child's age, ability and pace
• Keep classes engaging, focused and positive, using age-appropriate behaviour guidance

Keep every child safe

• Apply proper spotting techniques, safety protocols and the gym's child protection policies
• Supervise closely, respond calmly to incidents and emergencies
• Set up, clean and check equipment and apparatus before and after classes

Build relationships

• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork and respect among students
• Update parents on their child's progress and handle questions warmly and professionally

Be a friendly ambassador for the BearyFun brand

Support the team

• Keep accurate attendance, class and progress records
• Help with lesson scheduling and parent communication
• Work with senior coaches and the Centre Manager, and support ad-hoc duties as needed

What we're looking for

• Genuine passion for working with children and for gymnastics or movement
• Energetic, patient and encouraging, with the ability to engage young learners
• Background in gymnastics, physical education, sports coaching or a related field (preferred)
• Experience coaching or working with young children (an advantage)
• Basic understanding of child development and safety procedures
• Clear communicator, comfortable with both children and parents
• A team player who welcomes feedback and guidance from senior coaches
• Willing to travel between our gym and school locations
