Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is seeking a Junior / Financial Accountant (Accounts Payable / AP) to join our dynamic finance team. You will handle credit control processes, prepare collection letters, and assist in accurate billing across hotel departments.

With a minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance operations, you will excel at attention to detail, multitasking, and effective communication as you support timely payments and reconciliations for a busy hospitality operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, credit control, or finance operations.
• Excellent organisation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Accounting or related disciplines

Responsibilities

• Review daily trade accounts and AR ageing reports (60/90/120 days).
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend debit/credit note adjustments.
• Reconcile city ledger accounts and ensure timely resolution of mismatches.
• Prepare and send collection letters and payment reminders.
• Respond to payment queries, disputes, and follow up via phone or email.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review account disputes with the Credit Manager.
• Work with hotel departments to verify charges and ensure accurate billing.
