Job summary

RMS MARINE & OFFSHORE SERVICE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Finance Executive/Accountant to manage the full set of accounts for a small entity and a JV, perform month-end closing, reconciliations, and closing schedules, and lead the AP team.

The role also covers GST returns, compliance, corporate secretarial coordination and process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience with AP team leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of Singapore GST and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Candidate with audit background is highly encouraged to apply.

Senior Finance Executive / Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Month-End Closing

• Manage full set of accounts for 1 small entity and accounting for 1 JV
• Perform month-end closing, reconciliations and closing schedules
• Prepare, review and post accruals and provisions
• Review balance sheet accounts and investigate variances

AP Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise AP team, including work allocation and monitoring of deadlines
• Oversee invoice processing, staff claims, supplier reconciliations and outstanding payables
• Coach and develop AP team members
• Improve AP processes and internal controls

Payment Review & Controls

• Review payment requests and payment batches for accuracy, supporting documents and approvals
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and segregation of duties
• Follow up on payment exceptions and discrepancies

Commission & Rebates

• Verify sales commissions, supplier rebates and incentive payments
• Reconcile calculations against supporting sales records
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting and resolve discrepancies

GST & Compliance

• Prepare and review GST returns and supporting schedules
• Support statutory, tax and audit requirements
• Maintain appropriate compliance documentation and audit trails

Corporate Secretarial

• Coordinate with external corporate secretary on statutory filings and corporate matters
• Maintain corporate records and monitor filing deadlines

Requirements
