Job summary

CG INTEGRAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Junior Engineer to support the development and technical delivery of waste gas and chemical treatment systems across semiconductor, solar, PV, battery, gas and chemical industries. You will work under senior engineers to prepare documentation, evaluate equipment, and assist with commissioning and handover.

The role provides exposure to FTIR testing, data analysis, and coordination with suppliers and internal teams, with travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in environmental, chemical, process, mechanical, gas, electrical engineering.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of relevant internship or work experience are welcome.
• Academic projects or internships involving environmental engineering, gas or chemical systems, industrial equipment, emissions testing, controls or commissioning are advantageous.
• Willingness to work at client sites and learn practical installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organise client process data, pollutant information, exhaust conditions, utility details, and site requirements.
• Support technical review, analysis data of gas and chemical streams, including application-specific composition, concentration, flow, temperature, pressure, moisture, and relevant hazards.
• Assist with choosing the best treatment-technology and solutions, basic calculations, equipment sizing, technical proposals, data sheets, P&IDs, layouts, and equipment lists.
• Prepare meeting notes, engineering registers, technical submittals, material take-offs, schedules, and progress updates.
• Coordinate routine technical information with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering, procurement, quality, EHS and service teams.
• Check drawings, vendor documents, and equipment data against approved specifications under supervision.
• Support FAT, SAT, inspections, leak and pressure tests, functional checks, interlock validation, start-up and performance qualification.
• Assist with FTIR testing, gas sampling and laboratory analysis in accordance with approved protocols, calibration requirements and QA/QC practices.
• Compile test results, identify deviations, and support troubleshooting and corrective-action follow-up.
• Follow EHS requirements, permit-to-work procedures, risk controls, and hazardous gas or chemical handling requirements at all times.
• Maintain orderly project records, test reports, certificates, as-built information, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
• Support client training, system demonstrations, commissioning, and final handover.
• Participate in technical training and progressively develop competence in abatement systems, industrial exhaust, and environmental compliance.
• Travel to local or regional client and supplier sites as required.
