Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Junior/Legal Associate to join a well-established civil and commercial litigation practice in Singapore. You will work alongside experienced litigators on a broad range of contentious matters, with mentoring and exposure to court proceedings.

Responsibilities include managing matters from start to resolution, attending hearings and conferences, drafting pleadings and submissions, researching case law, preparing bundles, and liaising with clients to progress matters

Qualifications

• Admitted or eligible as Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore.
• Newly Qualified (NQ) to 2 years' PQE in Civil, Commercial or General Litigation.
• Practice Trainees with substantial litigation exposure encouraged.
• Good understanding of Singapore civil procedure and the Rules of Court.
• Familiarity with eLitigation and legal research platforms.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing civil and commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution.
• Attend court hearings, Case Conferences, Pre-Trial Conferences, mediations and other litigation-related proceedings.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, correspondence and Letters of Demand.
• Conduct legal research and provide case analysis to support ongoing matters.
• Prepare litigation bundles and manage court filings via eLitigation.
• Liaise with clients, counsel and relevant stakeholders while ensuring matters progress efficiently.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor key litigation timelines.
