Job summary

Rejoule Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior Chartering Operations Executive to support day-to-day chartering, vessel operations, and post-fixture execution. You will gain hands-on exposure across the entire voyage cycle, from fixture preparation to voyage execution and reconciliations, while liaising with shipowners, charterers, brokers, and internal teams.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies or related field, with Mandarin and English proficiency, and strong organizational skills

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of chartering, vessel operations, and shipping industry.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proactive, responsible, adaptable, and eager to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessel movements and voyage progress from loading through discharge.
• Coordinate with vessel Masters, shipowners, charterers, port agents, surveyors, and other parties on operational matters.
• Track milestones such as ETA, ETB, ETD, loading/discharge, bunker usage, port operations, delays.
• Ensure voyage activities align with charter-party terms and voyage instructions.
• Provide timely operational updates to management and stakeholders.
• Assist Chartering team with freight quotations, voyage estimates, and related docs.
• Monitor vessel positions, cargo opportunities, market developments, and relevant information.
• Prepare and organize voyage files and records.
• Coordinate with Finance on voyage invoices, freight collections, and payment schedules.

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Chartering Operations Executive to join our team and support the day-to-day activities of chartering, vessel operations, and post-fixture execution. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands‑on exposure to the full voyage cycle, from chartering and fixture preparation through to voyage execution, documentation, and post‑voyage reconciliation. You will work closely with shipowners, charterers, shipbrokers, vessel Masters, port agents, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure voyages are executed efficiently and in accordance with agreed charter-party terms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vessel movements and voyage progress from loading through to discharge.
• Coordinate with vessel Masters, shipowners, charterers, port agents, surveyors, and other relevant parties on operational matters.
• Track key voyage milestones, including ETA, ETB, ETD, loading and discharge progress, bunker consumption, port operations, delays, and other operational developments.
• Ensure voyage activities are carried out in accordance with charter-party terms and voyage instructions.
• Provide timely operational updates to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist the Chartering team with freight quotations, voyage estimates, charter proposals, and related commercial documentation.
• Monitor vessel positions, cargo opportunities, freight market developments, and relevant market information.
• Prepare, maintain, and organize voyage files and operational records.
• Coordinate with the Finance team on voyage-related invoices, freight collections, and payment schedules.
• Maintain effective and timely communication with shipowners, charterers, shipbrokers, vessel Masters, port agents, surveyors, and internal departments.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of chartering, vessel operations, and the shipping industry, with knowledge of charter parties, laytime, demurrage, despatch, and voyage management being an advantage.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proactive, responsible, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced and time‑sensitive environment.
