AVENSYS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Java Techno-Functional Engineer to bridge business needs with technical solutions.

The role covers COBOL/JCL/VSAM experiences, Java backends, React/TypeScript frontends, and SQL analysis, ensuring smooth production support and system enhancements. The candidate will collaborate with business users and project leads, support BAU activities, and help optimize batch processes while maintaining legacy file structures.

Qualifications

Experience with COBOL/JCL/VSAM and legacy file structures.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities in production support.

Responsibilities

Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Analyze and design solutions for new enhancements and existing functionalities.
Perform data mining and testing to ensure requirements are met.
Collaborate with project leads, business users and developers to improve processes.
Provide BAU support and troubleshooting for React/TypeScript frontend and Java applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot batch processing jobs for successful cycles.
Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
Maintain and support COBOL/JCL code and legacy databases.
Identify and resolve issues across frontend, backend and database layers.
Investigate UI/UX issues and support performance improvements.
Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend system/process improvements.
Collaborate to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
Contribute to system enhancements and cross-functional initiatives.
