Job summary

Zenith Infotech in Singapore is seeking an Application Support Analyst to bridge business needs and technical delivery. You will translate requirements into solutions and support React/TypeScript and Java applications while maintaining legacy COBOL/JCL systems to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work closely with project leads and users, analyze business needs, troubleshoot frontend and backend issues, optimize SQL queries, and help improve system performance through collaborative

Qualifications

• Experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience with Java for backend application development.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, reporting, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with COBOL and JCL, and legacy file/database structures such as VSAM.
• Experience supporting batch processing jobs and troubleshooting batch cycle failures.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Analyze and design for new enhancements and/or existing functionalities.
• Data mining and testing to ensure new enhancements and/or existing functionalities meet business needs.
• Work with project leads, users, and developers to improve processes and functionality.
• Assist with React/TypeScript frontend and Java application development, troubleshooting, and BAU post-implementation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch processing jobs and ensure batch cycles run without failures.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
• Maintain application code in COBOL and JCL, including legacy database and file structures (VSAM, sequential files).
• Support client project leads and users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.
