Job summary

Morgan Stanley Singapore is hiring an Associate-level Developer to build data integration and feeding systems for Institutional Securities, ensuring high throughput and resilience to meet regulatory needs. You’ll collaborate with business users, design solutions, and implement code across Java, Scala, and Python in a diverse tech environment.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years of development experience in Java or Scala.
• Willingness to pick up the other language if not mastered.
• OOP design with interest in FP concepts.
• Desire to understand business requirements and deliver value.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data engineering, architecture and data modeling is a plus.
• Willingness to understand and enhance code including legacy systems.
• Spring knowledge is an advantage; willingness to learn in-house frameworks.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, PRs, JIRA; Scrum Agile is an advantage.
• Knowledge of financial products is an advantage but not necessary.
• Bachelors or Masters in IT/Engineering is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT systems for Institutional Securities (Fixed Income and Equities).
• Collaborate with business users to learn concepts about financial products.
• Participate in all lifecycle stages: requirements, design, coding, and support.
• Work with Java, Scala, Python across a diverse tech stack including CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Contribute to data integration and regulatory scenario calculations.
