Job summary

MCG Asia is seeking a Java Engineer to build backend platforms powering financial services workflows in a regulated environment. You’ll design, develop, and maintain robust microservices with Spring Boot, focusing on clean architecture and high‑quality code.

You’ll collaborate with product, QA, and analytics teams, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and contribute to performance, security, and CI/CD improvements in a fast‑paced FS setting.

Qualifications

• Strong Java backend experience with Spring Boot required.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs.
• Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and scalability of apps.
• Work with relational databases, messaging systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product, QA, business analysts, and senior engineers.
