Job summary

Unison Group in Singapore seeks a backend developer to design and maintain server-side applications using Core Java and Spring Boot. You will work on RESTful and streaming APIs and collaborate closely with backend peers to ensure smooth client-server interactions for the Web UI.

Join a team that partners with Business Analysts and Project Managers to translate requirements into functional features, while participating in deployments and continuous improvement of build and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Backend design and implementation in Java (Spring Boot).
• Familiar with RESTful and streaming API servers.
• Strong unit/integration testing skills (JUnit).
• Experience with DevOps tools and automated builds.
• Linux/bash scripting and security concepts are a plus.

Job description

Develop and maintain backend applications usingCore JAVA, SpringBoot, restful and streaming based Api servers.

Collaborate closely with other back-end developers to implement seamlessclient-server API interactionson the Web UI. Also, participate inpeer code and design reviewsto ensure high-quality deliverables.

Work alongsideBusiness AnalystsandProject Managersto translate requirements into functional features.

Handlecode deployments, releases, and other operational tasks on a rotational basis, with a strong emphasis onautomation and continuous improvementof the build and deployment processes.

Strong proficiency in modern Java and unit and integration testing frameworks (Junit etc)

Familiarity with agent-based coding assistant tools is a plus.

Comfortable using tools such asBitbucket (Git),Jira, andConfluence.

Experience in Linux, shell scripting etc, security ascepts , SQL based Databases.

DevOps (Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, Artifactory)

Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Financial domain experience is optional, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
