Design, build, test, and optimize microservices using Spring Boot; collaborate with frontend, BA, and QA teams to deliver integrated software. Requires 6+ years in Java and strong Spring ecosystem experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Java development.
• Strong Java knowledge (8, 11, or 17).
• Hands-on Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs.
• Proficient databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Summary

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java backend applications and RESTful APIs to deliver secure, high-performance solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java backend applications to meet business requirements
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot for modular and reusable backend services
• Develop high-performance, secure backend components to ensure application reliability and security
• Collaborate with frontend developers, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver integrated, high-quality software solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to facilitate future maintenance and team collaboration
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and resolve issues
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives to support iterative development
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices are implemented and maintained

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in Java development
• Strong programming experience with Java 8, 11, or 17 versions
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot framework
• Experience in developing microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development
• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git version control system
• Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodology

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Domain experience in banking or financial services
