Job summary

ALAN PARTNERS SG PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our technology team within a leading financial services organisation.

You will design, develop and enhance backend applications and financial platforms with a focus on Java, Spring Boot and scalable enterprise solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems supporting critical business functions, write clean code, conduct reviews and contribute to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Good knowledge of Core Java including collections, concurrency, JSON, JDBC.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, JDBC templates and messaging frameworks (JMS preferred).
• Experience developing enterprise applications and integrating complex systems.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code review and CI/CD.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in an Agile development environment with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and production support.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support application releases, change management activities and post-production implementation.
