Job summary

Good Job Creations (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Japanese-speaking Risk Officer to monitor credit and compliance risks, strengthen governance, and support risk-based decision making in the lending portfolio.

The role requires 2–5 years in banking or related fields, with strong Japanese reading/writing skills for Japanese-language documents and reports, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, credit analysis, KYC/AML, audit, or related functions.
• Basic understanding of corporate lending, credit risk management, and financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in Japanese is required to liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders, with emphasis on reading and writing for Japanese-language documents and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; report preparation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Branch's credit portfolio and identify emerging risks and concentration exposures.
• Conduct portfolio analysis and prepare periodic credit risk reports for management.
• Perform annual reviews, credit grading assessments, and covenant monitoring activities.
• Manage covenant compliance, waiver requests, and breach follow-up actions.
• Support the administration and monitoring of project finance and lending transactions.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience.
• Review KYC and customer due diligence documentation using a risk-based approach.
• Identify potential AML/CFT concerns and escalations where appropriate.
• Support customer onboarding and periodic KYC review processes.
• Prepare risk management reports for management, Head Office, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Act as secretary to the Credit Risk Committee, including meeting coordination and minute-taking.
• Coordinate information requests and reporting requirements with Head Office and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and enhance portfolio monitoring tools, risk metrics, and management information reporting.
• Support audits, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc projects assigned by management.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, credit analysis, KYC/AML, audit, or related functions.
• Basic understanding of corporate lending, credit risk management, and financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in Japanese is required to effectively liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders, with a stronger emphasis on reading and writing skills than verbal communication, particularly for reviewing and preparing Japanese-language documents and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and report preparation.
• Experience in portfolio monitoring, risk analysis, covenant management, or customer due diligence is advantageous.
