Job summary

Job description

Overview

Our client, a Japanese financial institution, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support corporate banking and credit operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers, corporate clients, financial institutions, and Head Office to facilitate loan transactions, credit analysis, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management. This role offers broad exposure to syndicated lending, credit assessments, AML/KYC processes, and corporate banking operations within an international banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of loan repayment schedules and key loan dates, and prepare basic system input forms for loan disbursements and repayments.

• Liaise with clients and external parties to collect required documents for compliance, KYC (Know Your Customer), and regulatory checks.

• Conduct client due diligence, KYC reviews, and customer background checks using internal systems, and prepare standard AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and compliance documentation.

• Support the preparation of internal documents, reports, manuals, and policies.

• Assist with reports and documentation required by Head Office and regulatory authorities.

• Provide translation support between Japanese and English for day-to-day business documents and communications using AI.

• Handle general administrative and operational tasks to support the Corporate Banking team.

Requirements

• Business-level proficiency in English and conversational–level proficiency in Japanese, with the ability to communicate effectively with the stakeholders.

• Experience in Japanese companies or relevant experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, loan administration, trade finance, or financial services will be an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
