Job summary

Noor Holdings Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a kitchen team member to handle daily food preparation and assist with standard procedures and policies for food prep, receiving, and storage.

You will work under the supervision of the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain quality and consistency, while staying up to date with new products and techniques. You should have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Italian cuisine, with grilling as a bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in similar capacity, preferably in Italian Cuisine.
• Experience in Grilling is a bonus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multi tasked and committed to the quality of food served.
• Excellent working attitude and willing to constantly grow his/her skills.
• Able to work on split shift/weekend and public holiday.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of methods of production and presentation standards.
• Know all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving and storage.
• Take care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by superiors to meet the standard and the quality set by the Company.
• Comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation technique.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
• Consult daily with Sous Chef and Head chef on daily requirements, functions and any last-minute events.
• Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning.
• Check expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section.
• Daily feedback and reporting of issues as they arise.
• Guide and train subordinates to ensure high motivation and economical working environment.
• Able to estimate daily production needs, to produce own work by deadline and assist others in achieving this aim.
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.
