Job summary

Fortuna Italia Group Singapore is seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Crew to join our dynamic culinary team in Downtown Tanjong Pagar. This full-time role supports chefs in food preparation, kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality in every dish.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation environment is desirable.
• Proficiency in basic food preparation techniques and knife skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction from senior staff.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Relevant food handling certification or willingness to obtain one is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning as per recipe requirements
• Assist in the preparation of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring consistency and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers and other food preparation machinery
• Monitor and rotate stock, ensuring adequate supplies are available and reporting shortages to management
• Support the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's visual standards
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, sanitisation and general maintenance tasks at the end of service
• Follow all food preparation instructions and recipes to maintain consistency across all dishes
• Respond promptly to feedback and adapt to changing priorities during service
