Job summary

Pathlight School, in collaboration with Digital Academy, seeks an engaging IT Trainer to design and deliver ICT courses for learners across technical and creative domains. You will develop outcomes-driven curricula, blend in self-study materials, and help grow our blended-learning environment.

You will collaborate with educators, document learner progress, contribute to a small development team building prototypes, and maintain Pathlight’s websites.

Qualifications

• Relevant education qualification(s) in IT or related discipline.
• Prior direct working experience in conducting ICT training for different groups of learners.
• Keen interest in imparting ICT knowledge and learning continuous improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualising, developing and conducting outcomes driven ICT training courses across multiple technical & creative domains.
• Produce interactive and self-study materials fueling blended learning.
• Communicate learners’ ICT outcomes via work/portfolio and written assessment reports.
• Contribute to a small development team building clickable prototypes with design thinking expertise.
• Maintain and improve Pathlight School websites and web presence.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and SOPs and meet department KPIs.
• Provide regular updates on project status and duties.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singaporeto offer thenational curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism.

The team at Digital Academy (DA) offers relevant and meaningful Information Technology (IT) & Design courses to all students in Pathlight School. We believe that our students have the natural aptitude towards technology and we run courses in an autism-friendly environment to equip our students with tools and skills positioning them for the future, a life beyond school.

We are looking for an engaging and passionate specialist to help us deliver the best training experience possible and help us realise our vision of becoming the largest training provider in ICT in the Autism Community. We are one of the School’s signature programme and is currently ramping ourselves further to become the next-generation learning community of empowered future technology leaders and learners.

As an IT Trainer, your Impact and Contribution includes:

• Conceptualising, Developing and conducting outcomes driven ICT Training courses across multiple technical & creative domains for our learners, educators and all other staff.

• Work with other educators and course developers to produce interactive and self-study materials fueling our drive towards blended learning.
• Communicate our learners’ outcomes in ICT via their work/portfolio and written assessment reports via platforms and tools adopted by the School.
• Contribute to a small development team in projects, building clickable working prototypes with your empathetic design thinking expertise.
• Work with the team to help maintain and improve our websites and web presence.
• Ensure compliance to organizational policies and SOPs and contribute proactively to meeting the department goals and KPIs.
• Provide regular updates on status reports on projects and duties
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by your Supervisor
