• Set up workstations and accounts.
• Keep an eye on performance and make necessary system maintenance
• Investigate problems and disruptions
• Use firewalls, backups, and access controls to ensure security.
• Update systems with the latest models and releases.
• Assemble knowledge to instruct employees in new technologies
• Create an internal wiki containing IT policies, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Microsoft Office 365 Cloud hosting options, like Amazon Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with maintaining and administering MS SQL Server database systems
• Experience with ships and the shipping industry is preferred.
• Certification as an MCSE or CCNA is preferred.
• Outstanding analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
