Job summary

SCIENTE in Singapore seeks an experienced IT Procurement / Strategic Sourcing professional to support IT initiatives across a banking environment, focusing on contract review and negotiation with Procurement, Legal and IT stakeholders.

You will identify risks, advise on mitigations, and support supplier negotiations to achieve favorable commercial outcomes while ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT or related discipline.
• Experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing or IT contract management.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and negotiating IT contracts with suppliers.
• Understanding of procurement processes, contractual risks and compliance.

The role will focus on IT contract review and negotiation, working closely with Procurement, Legal and IT stakeholders to manage contractual risks and optimize value from suppliers.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT or related discipline;
• Must have relevant experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing or IT contract management;
• Hands-on experience reviewing and negotiating IT contracts with suppliers;
• Good understanding of procurement processes, contractual risks and compliance requirements;
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience in banking or financial service;
• Experience in commercial negotiations, cost savings or cost avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Support the procurement and contracting of IT initiatives across banking environment, including reviewing and negotiating IT contracts with suppliers;
• Work closely with Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Legal and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure contracts support business objectives;
• Review contractual terms, identify gaps and potential risks, and advise stakeholders on the implications and appropriate mitigation measures;
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve favourable commercial outcomes, including cost savings and cost avoidance;
• Ensure procurement and contracting activities comply with the Bank's policies, processes, standards and guidelines;
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers throughout the contracting process;
• Support a strong risk and compliance culture through clear communication and effective management of contractual matters.
