Job summary

BeathChapman Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an IT Operations Engineer (Capital Markets – Systems & AWS) to own hands-on responsibilities across systems, networking and day-to-day IT operations. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT infrastructure or operations experience.
• Strong Windows Server administration; Linux basics.
• Proficient in AWS infrastructure management.
• Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Nice to have exposure to trading/back-office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on Level 2 support across systems, networks and endpoints.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, access and monitoring.
• Administer Windows Server; support Linux as needed.
• Troubleshoot local network: switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID and Intune.
• Monitor infrastructure health; assist with patching, backup, DR and resilience.
• Assist with security operations and coordinate with regional teams.
• As the Singapore platform evolves, support trading and back-office apps with training.

Our client is an expanding securities and capital markets organisation. Their Singapore business is expanding, and the local technology environment is still being built out to support a broader range of business and trading activities. As part of this growth, they are looking for an IT Operations Engineer (Capital Markets – Systems & AWS) to take hands‑on responsibility across systems, networking and day‑to‑day IT operations.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lean environment, solving technical issues directly and taking ownership rather than operating within a narrow infrastructure silo.

Job responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on Level 2 support across systems, networks, endpoints and general infrastructure issues.
• Support and maintain the organisation’s AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, access and monitoring.
• Administer Windows Server environments and support Linux systems where required.
• Troubleshoot the local network environment, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and connectivity issues.
• Support core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID and Intune.
• Monitor infrastructure health and support patching, backup, disaster recovery and general operational resilience.
• Assist with security‑related operational activities and work with regional technology teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• As the Singapore platform develops, gradually take on support for trading and back‑office applications, with training provided.

Job requirements

• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or IT operations.
• Good Windows Server administration experience, with the ability to support Linux environments where required.
• Hands‑on experience supporting AWS infrastructure across areas such as compute, networking, storage, access management and monitoring.
• Comfortable providing Level 2 support across Windows systems, AWS infrastructure, networking and end‑user technology.
• Good working knowledge of networking, including switches, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID) and Intune.
• Experience within financial services or another regulated environment is required.
• Good to have - Previous exposure to trading or back‑office applications.
