Job summary

XG Tech PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Systems and Desktop Operations Engineer in Singapore to support end-user computing and maintain Windows/Linux servers, networks, and virtualization environments.

You will troubleshoot, maintain and provide infrastructure support to ensure stable IT operations across the organization. Responsibilities include desktop support, server deployment and backups, basic network configuration, asset management, and collaboration with R&D teams on development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in desktop support and server operations.
• Knowledge of NP/CCNP-level networking and VLANs, routing & switching.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux systems and mainstream virtualization.
• Experience with cluster maintenance is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop IT support for employees: system installation, troubleshooting software/hardware, peripherals, and user accounts.
• Operate and maintain Windows/Linux servers: deployment, patches, data backup, incident handling.
• Troubleshoot network issues; basic router/switch config; knowledge of VLANs and routing & switching.
• Manage IT assets, operation logs, and incident reports; implement standard IT procedures.
• Support R&D teams in building development environments; familiar with virtualization setups and daily maintenance.

Role Summary

As an IT Systems and Desktop Operations Engineer, you will support end-user computing and maintain Windows/Linux servers, networks, and virtualization environments. You will handle troubleshooting, system maintenance, and infrastructure support to ensure stable and efficient IT operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop IT support for company employees, including system installation, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, configuring office peripherals, and managing user accounts and access permissions.
• Operate and maintain Windows/Linux physical and virtual servers, including deployment, routine inspections, patch updates, data backup, and emergency incident handling.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform basic configuration of routing and switching devices; requires NP-level networking knowledge.
• Manage IT assets and maintain operation logs and incident reports; implement standardized IT operations procedures.
• Support R&D teams in building development environments; familiar with mainstream virtualization setup, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with internal teams and local vendors to ensure stable operation of IT systems.

How you will stand out

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Solid hands‑on experience in desktop support and server operations.
• Knowledge of NP/CCNP-level networking, familiar with VLANs, routing & switching, and basic firewall operations.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux systems; understanding of mainstream virtualization technologies.
• Experience in cluster maintenance is an advantage.
• Good communication skills, strong service mindset, and ability to independently handle various IT issues.
