Job summary

BGC GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain physical and virtual servers supporting critical applications. You will monitor health, capacity, and performance to ensure high availability and reliability.

Role covers data centre operations, change and incident management, disaster recovery, and coordination with vendors to meet service levels. You will work to uphold uptime, security, and documentation across the infrastructure stack.

Qualifications

• Experience managing physical and virtual server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux server administration.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Podman.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL databases.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management — Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers supporting critical applications.
• Data Centre Operations — Review and ensure maintenance activities for UPS, server racks, and environmental monitoring.
• Change & Incident Management — Manage, review, and verify change requests; lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity — Develop DR procedures and conduct failover testing.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination — Coordinate with vendors during maintenance and incident resolution; prepare operational reports and SOPs.

Job Highlights

• Contract Duration: 12 Months Contract
• Salary: Up to $6,600/month
• Location: Hampshire Road, Singapore

Work Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 6:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am to 5:30pm
• 24/7 standby or on-call support for critical system-related incidents

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers supporting critical applications.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, and performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Oversee operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and server hardware administration activities.
• Data Centre Operations
  • Review and ensure maintenance activities for UPS systems, server racks, and environmental monitoring systems are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure infrastructure maintenance, patching, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities are performed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain operational excellence across data centre infrastructure components.
• Change & Incident Management
  • Manage, review, and verify change requests and service requests to ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and recovery activities for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimise recurring incidents.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct failover testing and restoration exercises to validate recovery readiness.
  • Support business continuity initiatives for mission-critical systems.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with application vendors and stakeholders during maintenance activities and incident resolution.
  • Prepare operational reports, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure service delivery standards and operational requirements are consistently met.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience managing and supporting physical and virtual server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux server administration.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Podman.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL databases.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with storage systems, backup solutions, and data centre operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and support mission-critical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mission-critical or transport-related systems.
• Exposure to enterprise infrastructure environments within large organisations.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Strong documentation and operational reporting capabilities.
• Experience working with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
