Qualifications

• CCNA or equivalent certification preferred; ITIL/ITSM familiarity advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WiFi and Data Centre environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement remediation.
• Perform network configuration, implementation, upgrades and migration activities per change management policies.
• Support network infrastructure projects, including new equipment deployments, upgrades and network migrations.
• Carry out Data Centre networking tasks, including hardware installation and cabling coordination.
• Collaborate with technology teams and vendors to resolve incidents and issues.
• Document all changes and maintain low operational impact.
• Participate in after-hours changes when required.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Network Engineer to join the technology team supporting a large‑scale banking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WiFi and Data Centre environments, while ensuring network stability, availability and performance.

You will work closely with internal technology teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot network issues, execute infrastructure changes and support network implementations in accordance with established change management and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WiFi and Data Centre environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement appropriate remediation.
• Perform network configuration, implementation, upgrades and migration activities in accordance with established change management and operational procedures.
• Support network infrastructure projects, including deployment of new equipment, technology upgrades and network migrations.
• Perform Data Centre activities, including network hardware installation, connectivity testing, cabling coordination and network maintenance.
• Work with relevant technology teams and vendors to resolve network‑related incidents and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure network changes and maintenance activities are properly documented and executed with minimal operational impact.
• Participate in planned implementation, maintenance and infrastructure activities after 7:00 PM, where required.
• Ensure all activities comply with the organisation's security, operational and change management standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Network Engineering, Network Operations or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:TCP/IPRouting & SwitchingVLANsDNS / DHCPOSPFBGP
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper or equivalent.
• Good understanding of Data Centre networking environments and infrastructure.
• Experience in network troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM and formal change management processes is advantageous.
• CCNA certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues independently.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to support after‑hours implementation and maintenance activities when required.
