Job summary

Gain City Group of Companies is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and upgrade servers, networks, and related systems in Singapore. You will monitor health and security, troubleshoot incidents, and automate routine tasks using Bash/PowerShell and Python/Perl.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/CE and strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset. You will support infrastructure projects and coordinate with vendors to meet SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management: configure, maintain, and upgrade servers and related hardware/software.
• Monitoring & security: day-to-day health checks and security monitoring.
• Troubleshooting & support: resolve infrastructure and network issues; respond to incidents.
• Automation: script routine tasks using Bash/PowerShell and Python/Perl.
• Change & asset management: document changes and maintain asset records.
• Vendor management: coordinate with providers to meet SLAs.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of servers, networks, and related hardware and software.


• Monitoring & Security: Perform day-to-day IT infrastructure health and security monitoring and checks.


• Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot infrastructure and network-related issues; respond to service requests and incidents to provide timely and effective resolutions.


• Automation: Automate routine tasks using basic Bash/PowerShell scripting and high-level programming languages such as Python or Perl.


• Change & Asset Management: Perform change management control to ensure all changes are trackable and properly documented; maintain accurate asset records.


• Vendor Management: Work collaboratively with service providers and vendors to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.


• Project Support: Provide support in the provisioning of IT infrastructure-related projects and handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in troubleshooting IT issues through log analysis and step-by-step tracing.
