Job summary

Mun Siong Engineering Limited is seeking an IT Applications professional to support and implement IT applications, liaise with users and vendors, and develop functional specifications. The role involves change and incident management, BI reporting, and IT governance to maintain compliant, efficient processes.

You will analyze requirements, draft technical specs, and contribute to BI and ERP-related interfaces while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• It Documentation skills required.
• Knowledge of SDLC and software development lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of IT audit practices (COBIT/BCM/ISO).
• Experience with Epicor 10, Sage 300 and SQL Server is an advantage.
• Development using Visual Studio and Office 365/SharePoint Online.
• Understanding BI solutions and reporting tools.
• Basic cloud computing knowledge.
• IT security fundamentals for applications.
• ITIL certification in Change/Incident Management is an added benefit.
• PM certification (CITPM or PMP) is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage change and incident processes and document actions.
• Prepare IT project documentation and meeting minutes.
• Participate in IT audits and ensure IT compliance.
• Ability to work after office hours or weekends if required.

• Provide technical/functional support and project implementation for IT applications, where applicable

• Liaise with users and IT vendors for the delivery of IT solutions and services.

• Perform requirement analysis and prepare detailed functional and technical specifications.

• Perform impact and risk analysis for change request.

• Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.

• Assist in maintenance of IT Application’s databases or interfaces, if feasible.

• Assist in minor development of Application and/or Business Intelligent solutions/reports, if feasible.

• Develop IT guidelines and procedures.

• Provide basic guidance and IT training to end-users, which exclude end-user functional usage of ERP/HR system and typical Microsoft Office usage.

• Facilitate & carry out major IT application changes in accordance to the change management process, where applicable.

• Facilitate IT application issues in accordance to the Incident management process.

• Request for quotations for IT specific application within IT controls.

• Handle IT purchase request for IT specific application within IT controls/budget.

• Participate and/or lead IT application projects.

• Prepare IT application project documentation.

• Prepare meeting minutes

• Execute IT Disaster Recovery with reference to the Business Continuity Plan.

• Support other IT colleagues if required.

• Participate in IT audit and ensure IT compliance.

• Ability to work after office hours or weekend if required.

• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Management and IT Manager.

Requirement

• IT Documentation skills.

• Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Basic knowledge on typical IT application audit based on industry best practices/standards such as COBIT, BCM, ISO, etc.

• Knowledge on Epicor 10, Sage 300 and Microsoft SQL Server will be an added advantage.

• Application development using Microsoft Visual Studio and Office 365 (SharePoint Online and other application software).

• Knowledge on Business Intelligence solution.

• Basic knowledge on Cloud computing

• Basic knowledge on IT Application Security.

• Knowledge in Change Management and Incident Management with certification in ITIL will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge in Project Management with certification in CITPM or PMP will be an added advantage.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
