Job summary

Principle One Limited in Singapore is seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to provide first- and second-line support to users, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication. You will work closely with the IT Manager and Helpdesk, updating ticketing systems and escalating tasks as needed.

The role covers hands-on maintenance, non-office-hour upgrades, and occasional equipment deliveries. A Diploma or above in IT and 3 years of experience are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in technology support.
• Experience in finance trading floor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users
• Keep IT Manager and Helpdesk updated on task status and escalate when overdue
• Update job status in ticketing systems promptly
• Perform upgrades / maintenance during non-office hours
• Conduct daily checks on meeting room facilities
• Manage meeting room readiness and troubleshoot issues
• Handle equipment deliveries and rack-mount IT gear occasionally
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users in a friendly and helpful manner
• Keep IT Manager and Helpdesk aware of the status of current and outstanding tasks, escalating when tasks take longer than expected
• Promptly update job status in ticketing and activity tracking systems
• Perform upgrade / maintenance / support jobs during non-office hours
• Conduct daily morning checks on meeting room facilities
• Manage meeting room facilities readiness and troubleshoot when problems arise
• Handle equipment deliveries and rack mount IT equipment occasionally
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Education Requirements

Diploma or above in Information Technology, Software Engineering or related fields

Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a technology support role
• Trade floor or financial services IT experience will be an advantage
• Industry certifications would be an advantage (MCITP/MCSE)
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Engineer (IT Services)

Key Skills

• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Knowledge in Microsoft desktop / Office 365 / Azure platforms
• Good troubleshooting skills
