Job summary

Society for The Aged Sick is seeking an IT Engineer to implement and support our IT systems, networks, and security infrastructure in Singapore. You will install and maintain hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, manage user access, and document configurations while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires a degree in IT/CS and at least 3 years of hands-on experience, with a keen interest in staying updated on cybersecurity risks and data protection regulations.

The IT Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting an organization's information technology systems, networks, hardware, software, and security infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure, servers, and IT systems.
• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Monitor and maintain proper inventory of hardware and software licenses as well as other office equipment/device;
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and data protection policies.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Configure and maintain cloud services and virtualization platforms.
• Document IT procedures, system configurations, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT-related services.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry standards.
• Provide support for and maintain other office equipment including telephone systems, printers and copiers.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
