Job description
Company / Role Overview

A large, complex multinational organisation is seeking a senior contract professional to support its Infrastructure and Security function during a period of operational and organisational transition. This contract role sits directly with the leadership team and is responsible for establishing commercial discipline across a significant technology spend portfolio, with a focus on contract governance, asset and license visibility, and cost efficiency. The environment is delivery-focused, ambiguous by nature, and requires an experienced individual who can operate independently, challenge assumptions, and drive tangible outcomes within a defined timeframe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the commercial oversight of infrastructure and security contracts, including large-scale outsourced service agreements and associated asset and software arrangements.
  • Lead the review, re-baselining, and renewal preparation of major outsourcing contracts, ensuring clear scope definition, accountability, and alignment to actual business needs.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of infrastructure and security assets, software, and licenses to identify redundancy, under‑utilisation, and cost leakage.
  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for assets and contracts by working closely with internal product and technology stakeholders.
  • Challenge existing spend assumptions and drive rationalisation initiatives to deliver measurable cost efficiencies and reinvestment capacity.
  • Act as a senior commercial partner to technology leaders, providing independent challenge and decision support rather than day‑to‑day operational delivery.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure commercial decisions are well‑defined prior to negotiation and execution.
  • Support leadership in preparing for future operating model clarity by stabilising and cleaning up the existing contract and asset landscape.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT contract management, vendor management, or technology commercial roles within large, asset-heavy environments.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and security technology landscapes sufficient to assess commercial justification, usage, and ownership (deep technical expertise not required).
  • Demonstrated track record of driving cost optimisation, contract rationalisation, or efficiency initiatives across sizeable IT spend portfolios.
  • Experience working with outsourced service providers and managing contracts that bundle services, assets, software, and people.
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, challenge senior stakeholders constructively, and hold teams accountable for commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills, with comfort working at senior leadership level.
  • Prior exposure to financial services or regulated industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Consulting background or experience in transformation, optimisation, or advisory roles is a plus.
