Job summary

Innowave Tech Singapore is seeking an IoT and Automation Engineer to connect, monitor and automate manufacturing equipment across semiconductor fabs and back-end factories. You will design and deploy edge, sensor and control systems, scaling from pilot tools to fleetwide roll-outs with reliable data for analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, IoT, or embedded systems.
• PLC programming with exposure to SCADA/HMI.
• Hands-on experience with industrial communications: RS232/RS485, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, TCP/UDP.
• Experience integrating sensors, actuators and edge devices with production equipment.
• Linux-based systems and edge computers; basic network security awareness.
• Python and/or C/C++ for automation and data pipelines.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings; use bench tools to diagnose faults.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work on-site in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, install and commission IoT and automation systems on manufacturing equipment (edge devices, sensors, gateways, controllers).
• Develop and test PLC/HMI control logic and automation sequences.
• Integrate equipment with CIM/MES and factory systems (Modbus, OPC UA, SECS/GEM).
• Configure and monitor data acquisition pipelines with Data Science teams.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues; feed findings back to design.
• Build test and acceptance procedures and document installation guides for fleet scale.
