Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking an Application Engineer / Application Manager for a US MNC in the semiconductor sector, based in Singapore. The role focuses on ion implantation equipment, process support, and customer training across semiconductor manufacturing.

The candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, deliver technical demonstrations, and collaborate with sales and engineering teams to optimize processes and yield. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Materials Science or related semiconductor discipline.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or field support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and application support for ion implantation equipment and related semiconductor processes.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, process evaluations, and customer training.
• Work closely with Sales teams to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, process optimization, and performance validation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues, providing both reactive and proactive customer support.
• Assist customers in improving process performance, yield, and productivity.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and product teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare technical reports, application documentation, and customer presentations.
• Perform data analysis and process evaluations to support customer applications and continuous improvement initiatives.
