Job summary

Jetstar is seeking an experienced procurement and logistics professional to manage materials for Heavy Maintenance across external facilities in Singapore. The role covers requisitions, stock audits, supplier management, and cost controls to ensure regulatory compliance and service quality.

You will lead a small team, coordinate with base maintenance, and optimize material strategies across the external MRO network, ensuring value for money and timely availability of spares.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years procurement, purchasing or logistics experience, preferably in aviation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance materials.
• Working knowledge of MIS and Microsoft Office.
• Five years in aviation industry experience.
• Experience at a high-capacity passenger operator.
• Demonstrated team leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation.
• Ability to align processes with organisational goals.
• Analytical skills using IT platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AOG, CRITICAL and ROUTINE requisitions and transfer orders are processed promptly.
• Fill in as needed when B&H staff are on leave.
• Perform stock audits and TRAX-reported transactions accuracy checks.
• Manage mailbox for transfer orders and logistics requests.
• Coordinate parts movements for planned maintenance and defect rectification.
• Oversee freight cost control and supplier performance meetings.
• Develop materials strategy with Base Maintenance Support Manager to ensure value for money and compliance.
• Review freight costs and MIN/MAX levels for Heavy Maintenance operations.
• Update interface procedures and supplier manuals as needed.
• Act as POC for materials strategy across External MRO support networks.

The role is also responsible for ensuring all appropriate spares are available at all external AMO facilities to support Heavy Maintenance activity and required regulatory compliance records are entered into the MIS TRAX and validated.

• Responsible for ensuring AOG, CRITICAL and ROUTINE requisitions and transfer orders are actioned promptly to satisfy business requirements
• Fill in to action requisitions and transfer orders for increased volume or when the B&H personnel are on leave.
• Responsible to perform regular surveillance audits and stock take ensuring material related transactions in TRAX are correct.
• Mailbox management of Transfer Orders and logistics requirements
• Coordinate part movements to ensure availability for planned maintenance and defect rectification within Heavy Maintenance environment
• Responsible for freight cost control and supplier management through a process of Vendor Management Meetings (supplier Performance Meetings) with correlating vendor KPIs.
• Work with the Base Maintenance Support Manager to develop the appropriate materials strategy related to External MRO support in order to ensure value for money, high levels of service and compliance with procedures and professional best practice.
• Review all current material freight cost and MIN/MAX levels relating to Heavy Maintenance operations and ensure that the best outcome is being achieved
• Review and update the business procedure manuals such as Interface Procedure User Guides with the suppliers.
• Responsible to develop corrective and preventative actions from audit findings.
• Assist the Base Maintenance Support Manager to develop processes to ensure accuracy for materials holdings at all locations.
• Work with the Base Maintenance Support Manager and act as the POC to developing the appropriate materials strategy related to External MRO support in order to ensure value for money, high levels of service and compliance with procedures and professional best practice
• Responsible for the safety of personal within SINDC and the surrounding area.
• Responsible for implementing Jetstar Safety standards.
• Responsible to ensure Stores & Receipt Compliance staff across the network are trained and assessed for competence and have approvals IAW AMOE P145.

To be considered, we are seeking the following key attributes:

• A minimum of five years of procurement (purchasing or repairs) or logistics experience, preferably in an operational environment
