OCBC invites a Financial Control & Financial Management Intern to join Singapore’s long‑established bank on a hands-on learning journey. You will handle invoice processing, verification, and posting in Oracle Cloud while supporting reconciliation and reporting tasks.

You will work with a collaborative team, develop stakeholder communication skills, and gain exposure to accounting principles within a transformative technology environment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: support accurate and timely processing of invoices.
  • Financial Verification: review invoices and supporting documents for completeness and compliance.
  • System Administration: assist with posting invoices and maintaining records in Oracle Cloud.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: support account reconciliations, generate reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address invoice-related queries.
  • Process Improvement: contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: assist with other financial management and control activities.

Play a key role in supporting the financial operations that enable OCBC's technology transformation journey. As an Financial Control & Financial Management Intern, you'll be part of a team that ensures the accurate and efficient management of financial processes across the Operations & Technology division. How You Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a quick learner, able to manage multiple priorities, and have a strong attention to detail. You'll work closely with team members and stakeholders across procurement, Operations, and Technology functions to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Your ability to communicate effectively, stay organised, and apply sound accounting principles will be crucial in supporting day-to-day financial operations and maintaining financial integrity.

What You Do
  • Invoice Processing: support the accurate and timely processing of invoices in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Financial Verification: review invoices and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal guidelines.
  • System Administration: assist with posting invoices and maintaining records within Oracle Cloud.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: support account reconciliations, generate reports, and investigate discrepancies when required.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address invoice-related queries and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Process Improvement: contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: provide support on other financial management and control activities as assigned.

Financial Control & Financial Management plays an important role in supporting the financial governance and operational effectiveness of the Group Operations & Technology division. The team works closely with stakeholders across the bank to ensure sound financial management practices, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with established policies and controls. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting the bank's broader transformation and business objectives.
