Job summary

PLACEMENT PROFESSIONALS is recruiting on behalf of a well-known Insurance Brokerage in Singapore for an Insurance Billing Specialist role. You will upload employee movements, compile renewal information, and handle billing-related tasks across accounts to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires a Diploma with 2–3 years in insurance, strong attention to detail, and proficient Excel skills. You will liaise with underwriters and client HR, and assist with UAT and regulatory

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with a minimum of 2–3 years of working experience in the insurance industry.
• Exercises good judgement and discretion, with a strong customer and quality focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and see tasks through to completion.
• More experienced insurance billing specialists are expected to work with minimal direction and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Upload employee movements (additions, changes, and terminations) into the portal and notify insurers within the stipulated turnaround time.
• Compile renewal information for submission to insurers and clients in line with the established procedures.
• Handle daily exception reports generated from data uploads.
• Oversee assigned accounts and ensure all account-related matters are resolved promptly.
• Manage appeals and escalations from clients (HR/employees) concerning medical underwriting.
• Liaise with underwriters regarding underwriting requirements and update insurers' decisions in the portal.
• Liaise with the Contact Centre on matters relating to policy administration.
• Prepare the required documents for mail merge.
• Consult the manager promptly when guidance is required for unresolved matters.
• Remain adaptable and demonstrate a positive approach towards evolving business requirements.
• Comply with PDPA and regulatory requirements, and promptly report any breaches to the manager.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) during renewals, new system feature releases, and new client implementations.
• Manage day-to-day operational and administrative tasks related to billing.
• Process bill adjustment requests and cross-check invoice details against supporting documentation.
• Verify billing data for accuracy in the accounting system and generate Debit Notes when required.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager relating to census management.
