Job summary

Acclaim Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Manager for Financial Risk Solutions to drive growth, nurture key client relationships, and lead a high-performing team in structuring financial lines and general insurance solutions.

You will work with major corporate accounts and financial institutions, negotiating terms with underwriters and ensuring MAS compliance, while devising strategic plans for new business and client retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• Minimum 6–8 years in Financial Lines and General Insurance broking or underwriting.
• 2–3 years of direct supervisory or team management experience.
• Deep technical expertise in D&O, PI, Cyber, MedMal, and General insurance across APAC.
• Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of financial lines brokers. Set KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional growth.
• Serve as the primary risk advisor for major corporate accounts and financial institutions, delivering customized risk transfer strategies.
• Leverage strong relationships with local and international underwriters to negotiate terms and bespoke coverage extensions.
• Develop and execute strategies for new business acquisition, client retention, and cross-selling in line with company goals.
• Ensure all placement processes, team workflows, and documentation strictly follow MAS regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager for Financial Risk Solutions. In this role, you will drive business growth, nurture key client relationships, and lead a high-performing team in structuring complex Financial Lines as well as General Insurance solutions (e.g., D&O, Professional Indemnity, CyberRisk, MedMal, and others).

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of financial lines brokers. Set KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional growth.
• Client Advisory: Serve as the primary risk advisor for major corporate accounts and financial institutions, delivering customized risk transfer strategies.
• Market Relationship Management: Leverage strong relationships with local and international underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and bespoke coverage extensions.
• Strategic Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies for new business acquisition, client retention, and cross-selling in line with company goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all placement processes, team workflows, and documentation strictly follow MAS regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Law/Computer Science or Information Technology/Accountancy or Business Administration/Banking & Finance/Risk Management/ or any other discipline. Mandatory Singapore regulatory certifications (e.g., CGI, BCP, ComGI) are also required. ACII or ANZIIF designations are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in Financial Lines and General Insurance broking or underwriting, including at least 2–3 years in a direct supervisory or team management role.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical expertise in e.g., D&O, PI, Cyber, MedMal, and General insurance (e.g. Industrial All Risks) across Singapore and the broader APAC region.
• Skills: Proven negotiation, strategic planning, and leadership skills with a track record of business development.
