Job summary

TÜV SÜD PSB Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Inspector to support SCDF Product Listing Scheme certification activities for Scheme 2 and Scheme 5 products. You will conduct factory and product inspections and ensure continued compliance with SCDF requirements.

The role requires analyzing manufacturing processes, reviewing test reports, and coordinating sample testing while traveling locally and overseas as needed. Working model: Field Work; Employment Type: Full time / regular.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related discipline is required.
• Experience in inspection, testing, certification, quality assurance or conformity assessment is preferred.
• Experience with SCDF PLS Scheme 2 and/or Scheme 5 is highly preferred.
• Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial, periodic and surveillance inspections of manufacturing facilities under SCDF PLS Scheme.
• Assess manufacturing processes, production controls, quality systems and product conformity against applicable standards and SCDF requirements.
• Review technical documents including test reports, product specifications, drawings and quality records when conducting factory and site inspections.
• Conduct product sampling and coordinate samples for testing where required.
• Identify and document non-conformities, evaluate corrective actions and follow up on their closure.
• Prepare clear, accurate and timely inspection reports and supporting records.
• Monitor surveillance schedules and ensure inspections are completed within the required certification cycle.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams on inspection requirements and technical findings.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building & Construction, Fire Safety, Materials Science or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in inspection, testing, certification, quality assurance or conformity assessment.
• Experience with SCDF PLS Scheme 2 and/or Scheme 5 is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of technical standards, manufacturing processes and product conformity assessment.
• Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications and test reports.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound technical judgement.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas for factory inspections.
