Job summary

Recruit CRM seeks an experienced SME in Infrastructure Management to design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Chef and Terraform across environments. You will automate provisioning, enforce configuration management, and work with DevOps, Cloud, and Network teams to meet reliability goals.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Chef and Terraform expertise, strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and familiarity with CI/CD and containerization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Management, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• Hands-on Chef (cookbooks/recipes/roles) and Terraform (modules/state/providers).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure automation.
• CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices a plus.
• Knowledge of Python, Shell, Ruby scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Infrastructure Management to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in managing and automating infrastructure using Chef and Terraform. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure solutions across various environments. The SME will collaborate with development, operations, and cloud teams to implement best practices in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and provisioning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Management, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• Handson expertise in Chef (cookbooks, recipes, and roles) and Terraform (modules, state management, and providers).
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Ruby
• Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management tools is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and infrastructure monitoring.
• Working knowledge on devops and CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.

Certifications (optional but preferred):

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
• Chef Certification (e.g., Chef Infra Developer or Chef Specialist).
• Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
