Job summary

PCSS in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer (fresh graduates welcomed) to join our IT operations team. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and upgrading servers, networks, and related hardware and software, with a strong emphasis on reliability and security.

You will support asset management, monitor systems, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and assist with change control. Basic scripting in Bash/PowerShell and exposure to Python/Perl are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.

Pre-requisition:

Job Description:

• Responsible for configuration, maintenance and upgrading of servers, networks and related hardware and software
• Perform asset management and maintain accurate asset records
• Perform day-to-day IT infrastructure health and security monitoring and checks
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and network related issues
• Perform change management control, and ensure changes are trackable and properly documented
• Respond to service requests and incidents to provide timely and effective resolutions
• Work with service providers/vendors to ensure SLAs are met
• Best be able to automate tasks with basic Bash/PowerShell scripting and high-level programming languages such as Python/Perl
• Provide support in the provisioning of IT infrastructure-related projects and other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Technical Skill sets:

• Best to have working knowledge and strong understanding in (Redhat, Windows OS, Cisco, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, VMware)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to troubleshoot IT problems using logs, and tracing through steps
• Able to work independently and contribute as a team
• Willingness and capacity to learn new technologies and tools for the continuous improvement of systems and processes
