Infra Engineer
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting secure, scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role encompasses Windows and Linux system administration, enterprise networking, infrastructure monitoring, and IoT/edge device integration to support business and operational technology (OT) requirements.
Deploy, configure, and maintain RHEL and Windows Server environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Implement, integrate, and support IoT devices, edge gateways, sensors, and network-connected systems within the enterprise infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, system, network, and device-related issues to minimize downtime.
Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, routing, ACLs, and load balancers.
Monitor the health, performance, capacity, and availability of servers, network devices, IoT endpoints, and enterprise infrastructure using monitoring and alerting platforms.
Perform system lifecycle management activities, including patching, firmware upgrades, certificate management, Microsoft KMS administration, vulnerability remediation, and vendor coordination.
Support backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
Implement and maintain infrastructure security best practices, including system hardening, network segmentation, PKI/certificate management, and access controls.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services and improvements.
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, network diagrams, system configurations, and SOPs.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Hands-on experience with RHEL and Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, NAT, and firewall management.
Experience troubleshooting infrastructure and network issues using tools such as Ping, Traceroute, Tcpdump, and Wireshark or equivalent.
Hands-on experience supporting IoT devices, edge gateways, sensors, and network connected systems.
Knowledge of network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper‑V), backup & restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting platforms.
Understanding of infrastructure security best practices, including system hardening, network segmentation, PKI/certificate management, and Microsoft KMS.
Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
