Job description

Job Description & Requirements

• Responsible for Windows servers, AD, DHCP, DNS and GPO implementation and maintenance.
• Responsible for insuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the client’s environment. This includes the installation, maintenance, and management of all system-related technologies such as VMware, backup, patch management, anti-virus rollout, support, and monitoring.
• Perform cloud technology administration on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Office365, etc.
• The Engineer is responsible to assist in the development of company policies and procedures to support operations, security, and integrity.
• Responsible for performing system generation, tuning, configuration, upgrades, performance management, disaster recovery, network troubleshooting, end-user support, and usage reporting as required.
• This position is responsible to work with all technology team members to ensure proper design of system architecture.
• Analyzes existing customer system infrastructure and identifies potential enhancements to sustain and improve optimization and performance.
• Perform MS Windows 2008/2012/2016 and health checks.
• Create and maintain documentation, report generation/customization.
• Provide clear oral and written communication.
• Maintain high quality customer service to customers.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science Engineering in a relevant discipline.
• ITIL, MCSE/MCSA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in supporting and implementing IT infrastructure.
• Strong consultancy and interpersonal skills.
• Good technical/engineering/development practice.
• Hands-on system design and/or configuration experience with Microsoft Technologies, VMware, Backup Software and Cloud Technologies.
• Experience in VMware server virtualization and administration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Server OS Roles and Features is required.
• Well-rounded technologist willing to learn and understand networking, middleware, storage, backup/restore, automation, system and security.
• Experience planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices.
• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
