This role requires a qualification in Computer Science or IT, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and a service-oriented mindset.

Job Description & Requirements

As an Assistant Manager, Systems Administrator at DB&B, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure smooth and secure operations across the organization. You will oversee network systems, server administration, IT security and technical support, while ensuring that company IT assets are properly managed and maintained. We’re looking for a hands-on IT professional with strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset to support the company’s operational needs and technological development.

What you'll do

IT Infrastructure & Network Management

• Ensure that wireless networks, LAN systems and related infrastructure are fully functional and optimized for performance and security.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of company servers, including performing backups and ensuring system integrity.
• Implement and manage wireless network security measures, including firewalls, antivirus solutions and encryption protocols.
• Evaluate, propose, install and implement hardware and software upgrades to meet evolving business needs and improve efficiency.

IT Support & System Administration

• Provide high-level IT helpdesk support for desktop hardware, software and network issues, resolving complex problems efficiently.
• Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees, ensuring all equipment and software are properly configured and operational.
• Maintain the functionality, security and reliability of IT systems to support seamless day-to-day business operations.

IT Asset & Process Management

• Maintain comprehensive inventory records for all IT assets, including PCs, hardware, software and manuals, ensuring accurate tracking and management.
• Review and update IT processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices and new methodologies where appropriate.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your superior.

What you'll bring

• A recognized qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in network systems, server administration, wireless and LAN technologies, and IT security practices.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex IT issues efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and priorities, and demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting tight deadlines.
• A service-oriented mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resourcefulness, initiative and the ability to work independently to support the company’s IT operations.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
