Job summary

TENDO INNOVATIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on IT Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure across office users, servers and network systems. You will handle daily IT operations, troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance to ensure smooth business operations.

The role requires independent work, problem-solving, and coordination with users and vendors, with hands-on server administration and familiarity with Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft 365. Retail POS exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT administration and infrastructure support.
• Hands-on server administration experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, AD, and M365.
• Familiarity with retail IT environments and POS systems is a plus.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on IT Engineer to support and maintain the company's overall IT infrastructure, including office users, servers and network systems. You will handle daily IT operations, troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance to ensure smooth business operations. We are looking for someone who can work in dependently, solve problems efficiently, and coordinate well with users and vendors.

Responsibilities

• System & Server Support: Maintain and troubleshoot servers, operating systems, backup systems, virtualization platforms, and core IT infrastructure to ensure stability and performance.


• Network Support: Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routers, VPN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic network security.


• Desktop & User Support: Provide 1st and 2ndline support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft applications, email, and daily user IT issues.


• Hardware & Retail Support: Handle setup,maintenance, and troubleshooting for desktops,laptops, POS systems, printers,payment terminals, and retail store IT requirements.


• User Access & Security: Manage user accounts,permissions, access rights, antivirus, and ensure compliance with company IT security policies.


• Vendor & IT Operations: Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, procurement, upgrades, and projects. Maintain IT asset inventory, licenses, documentation, and SOPs.


• General IT Support: Monitor backups, support recovery processes, assist in IT improvements, and perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT administration and infrastructure support, with a strict requirement for hands-on server administration.


• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and standard office applications.


• Good understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, VPN,firewall, and IP addressing.


• Experience supporting servers, backup systems, virtualization platforms, and business-critical IT infrastructure.


• Exposure to retail IT environments, POS systems, and multi-site support will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge of IT security best practices regarding access control, endpoint protection, and system administration.


• Able to multitask, prioritize issues, and work independently with minimal supervision.
