Job summary

The Smart Local (TSL) Media Group in Singapore is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow its influencer marketing business. You will hunt for new clients, build relationships and translate client needs into profitable influencer opportunities.

You will collaborate with influencer marketing and creative teams to shape solutions from brief to closure, map a path to revenue growth, and manage a strong pipeline across brands and agencies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in business development, sales or account growth, preferably in influencer marketing.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong relationships across brands, agencies or marketing stakeholders in Singapore.
• Demonstrated ability to independently prospect, pitch, negotiate and close new business.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and confidence in senior client conversations.
• Good understanding of influencer marketing, social media platforms and creators/KOLs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills to turn client objectives into compelling commercial propositions.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with creative, campaign and operations teams to develop solutions.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive and persistent — you enjoy the hunt and creating opportunities.
• Naturally curious about pop culture, creators, social trends and the evolving digital media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through pitching, negotiation, closing and account growth.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across brands, agencies and potential strategic partners.
• Take ownership of revenue targets and KPIs, with a strong focus on pipeline generation, conversion and revenue growth.
• Upsell, cross-sell and repeat campaigns within existing accounts.
• Develop understanding of clients' objectives to uncover opportunities beyond campaigns.
• Drive outbound business development through weekly prospecting, networking and industry events.
