Job summary

National Healthcare Group is seeking a Surveillance Coordinator to join the Healthcare-associated infections (HAI) Surveillance team at NCID. You will conduct systematic HAI surveillance across Singaporean healthcare institutions, collect and manage data, and collaborate with clinicians to improve care delivery by reducing HAI rates.

The role involves data cleaning, standardisation, audits, and knowledge translation through research and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or related field. 1–2 years of experience in healthcare surveillance work would be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong Excel capabilities for data management and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Meticulous data collection, entry, and quality assurance with strong analytical skills.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple surveillance activities and meet deadlines.
• Quick learner with ability to understand and apply complex clinical and surveillance guidelines.
• Team player who can work collaboratively and independently as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive HAI surveillance across public healthcare institutions and long-term care facilities in Singapore.
• Review case notes and collect clinical data for entry into surveillance databases.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure data integrity and resolve documentation queries.
• Prepare clean datasets and perform quality checks for analysis.
• Support data analysts and epidemiologists with data access and preparation for analysis.
• Coordinate surveillance audits and manage communications with stakeholders.
