Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore seeks an experienced Continuous Improvement specialist to identify and drive cost-reduction initiatives, implement automation, and optimize core processes. The role involves developing site-wide CI strategies using CORE tools and mentoring engineers and technicians.

You will coordinate internal and external training, collaborate with senior management, and ensure compliance with airworthiness and EH&S standards while supporting a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum three years of cost-reduction and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CORE tools and techniques, with active CORE participation.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas for improvement and ensure measurable implementation.
• Help reduce standard hours and implement automation to lower parts costs.
• Analyze and evaluate existing systems to identify value-added activities and address design challenges.
• Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment and materials for scheduling methods and metrics.
• Develop the overall site continuous improvement strategy using CORE tools.
• Assist the General Manager in annual target planning under Policy Deployment.
• Develop and present Cost and Continuous Improvement strategies to Senior Management.
• Prepare the site for CORE Office assessments and representations at the Singapore CORE Council.
• Lead continuous improvement programmes and CORE activities within the company.
• Mentor engineers and technicians; coordinate and conduct productivity training.
